Fill the guide with decisions, not aspirations
Use wording another writer could act on. Instead of ‘authentic’, describe the perspective you can honestly speak from. Instead of ‘confident’, say whether to state the recommendation early, qualify uncertainty or explain the evidence.
Keep claims about expertise grounded. A voice guide is not a way to give an author experience they do not have. Add boundaries about facts, promises and subjects you should not imply authority over.
A filled example for a SaaS founder
This fictional example is an original template exercise. It illustrates writing choices; it does not describe a real customer or a measured result.
- Positioning: a founder sharing decisions made while building a small writing tool.
- Expertise: the product decisions actually documented in the source notes.
- Tone: candid and practical; acknowledge limits without dramatic language.
- Style: put the decision first, then explain the reason in short paragraphs.
- Boundaries: no invented adoption numbers, customer quotes or guarantees.
- Sample: ‘We added more options, then noticed people kept choosing the same two. We made those easier to find.’
Keep reader context beside the voice
The voice guide describes the author. It does not remove the need to know the reader. A prospective customer might need a plain explanation, while an existing user might need the exact next step.
Record the reader's background, goal, obstacles and preferred level of detail separately. This avoids changing the author's personality every time the audience changes.
Reuse the guide in WarmQuant
In the studio, paste your source text and add a one-off Voice & style hint. If the context repeats, Saved creator personas store positioning, expertise, tone, style, boundaries and your own voice samples. You can save at most five creator personas and five reader personas, independently.
These are manually configured instructions used for English generation. They do not automatically infer a voice from a website, import files or train a model. The template download is free; saved application personas are included in every account.
Test the guide on one short draft
Choose a piece with a clear purpose. Compare the draft with your original facts and writing sample. If it is too promotional, change a specific instruction or remove an unsupported claim instead of adding more adjectives.
When the guide grows difficult to use, remove rules that do not affect a real writing decision. Keep examples that make the remaining rules understandable.
Copy the template
Fill this with your own source text and context. You can use the template without creating an account.
